                              It is the main component of the hydraulic clutch system, and its function is to convert the force applied to the clutch pedal while driving into hydraulic pressure. To put it simply: when you press the pedal, the master cylinder compresses the brake fluid and sends it to the slave cylinder, which is responsible for moving the fork and disengaging the clutch disc from the flywheel.

                              There are generally three signs that the part is failing or broken:

                              • The most common symptom is that the pedal sinks to the floor with very little effort, as it no longer builds sufficient internal pressure.
                              • You will be unable to change gears, especially reverse.
                              • You may notice a loss of brake fluid from the reservoir with no visible leaks in the braking system.

As a general rule, if the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder fails, since it is independent from the clutch kit, it is usually enough to replace just the faulty cylinder. The clutch slave cylinder receives hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder and converts it into mechanical force to move the fork and disengage the clutch disc.
